Cap Noir

Aujourd'hui, petit déjeuner au coin du feu, car à Cilaos, il ne fait pas très chaud le matin.

Ensuite direction le début du sentier de Cap Noir (6km, à peu près 3 heures.)

Ca démarre tranquille, petit chemin bétonné à travers les habitations et les champs de lentilles.
Puis ca devient un chemin d'herbes, au milieu des champs de lentilles; pour finir en chemin de terre et de pierre à flan de coline, heureusement assez large, pour que mon vertige me laisse tranquille.

Et ce chemin, descend, descend et descend jusqu'à la cascade de Cap Noir. Malheureusement, il n'y a pas beaucoup d'eau dans les plans d'eau au dessus de la cascade, et la cascade n'est pas vraiment visible, car le bord du sentier n'est pas assez stable pour se pencher pour bien voir la cascade.


Today, breakfast in front of a fire, because in Cilaos, it is still winter in the morning.

Then direction the Cap Noir way (6 km, more or less 3 hours)

It starts nicely, with a small street between houses and lentil. Then it becomes a herbs way, in the middle of the lentils, and it finished as a way on ground and rocks, along the mountain. By chance, it is large enough for me :)

This way is going down, down and down till the Cap Noir waterfall. Sadly, there is not a lot of water in the water places on top of the waterfall. And the waterfall is hard to see as the border of the way is not so stable to get really close to the edge to see the waterfall.

2 règles fondamentales sur cette ile:
-> Tout chemin descendu, doit être remonté un jour!
-> Tout charmant sentier descendant sous le soleil, devient un calvaire très chaud quand il faut le remonter!

Bon en remontant tout doucement, avec plusieurs pause pour boire, on a réussi à rejoindre la voiture, qui était en plein soleil.
Petite pause près de La Mare à Joncs, pour une boisson fraiche et un sandwich, ensuite douche, petite sieste, et tour shopping dans Cilaos.

2 basic rules on this island:
-> Every way going down, is going up on the way back!
-> Every nice little way going down under the sun, is a really really warm way going up!

So we went back up slowly, with several stops to drink, and we finally got back to the car, which was parked full under the sun...
Little break to drink something fresh and eat a sandwich at La Mare à Joncs, then shower, little siesta and small shopping tour in Cilaos.

Ce soir, on ne sait pas encore, tout dependra du chemin que mes jambes seront prêtes à marcher pour trouver un restaurant :)

Tonight, we don't know yet where we will go to eat; it is all depending on how far my legs will carry me :)
