Manapany-les-Bas

Aujourd'hui, ou plutôt hier, nous avons démarré tranquillement, moi par un massage, suivi d'un bon petit déjeuner, Martin, une grasse matinée et petit-déjeuner.
Vers 10:00, direction Manapany-Les-Bas avec un petit passage par le plage de Saint-Pierre.

Today, or should I say yesterday, we started slowly, me I went for a massage and then breakfast, and Martin slept till he joined me for the breakfast.
Around 10:00, direction Manapany-les-bas with a little turn on the beach of Saint-Pierre.

Rendez-vous à 14:00 au Domaine de Manapany pour une visite guidée dans le cadre des journées du patrimoine.
Belle visite de la maison, du jardin à la Créole réaménagé et explication d'agro-écologie dans le potager et le verger; ca donne à réfléchir.

We had a date at 14:00 at the Domaine de Manapany, for a guided tour in the house and the garden.
Nice old house, nice creole garden, rebuilt, and an explanation on how they try to keep the vegetables and fruits garden, without any chemical products: something to think about...

Ensuite, avec un guide du parc national, petite ballade jusuq'au point de vue sur la petite ile, réserve naturelle; avec en prime, une ou des baleines au loin. Parfait.
Le retour au domaine a été un peu plus difficile, car on a coupé à travers champs de canne coupées, donc glissant.  Du coup, 3 heures de visite.:)

Then with a guide from the national parc, we went for a little walk to the point of view of the small island, which is protected for the plants and the animals living on it; and we saw behing one or several wales jumping. Perfekt :)
The way back was a little harder, as we took a shortcut through a field of sugar cane, which were already cut, but then it was quite sliding. So we had all in all 3 hours :)


Après un petit passage dans les bouchons de Saint-Pierre, nous allons directement à la plage de l'Ermitage, à la Rondavelle Bicot, où l'ancien chanteur d'Ousanousava (groupe réunionnais préféré de Martin) se produit en concert gratuit. On en profite pour diner en même temps. Le concert très sympa, le diner, bon mais un peu mal organisé.

Retour à notre chambre d'hôtes pour une nuit de repos bien méritée.

After a short time in the traffic jam in Saint-Pierre, we drove directly to the beach of l'Ermitage, because the ex singer of Ousanousava (the prefered creole band from Martin) is giving a concert for free at a beach restaurant. So we were there for diner and for the concert. The concert was really good, the diner was ok, but bad organised.

Back to our room later than usually, for a good sleep.
